Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz were married in an intimate ceremony at her parents' house in Encino, California. Ashlee chose Alice in Wonderland as the theme for their wedding. Her wedding cake was decorated with a top hat, tea pot, stop watch and a pot of flowers. Table centerpieces were arrangements of black beauty roses. Ashlee's sister Jessica Simpson was maid of honor. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a champagne toast, a sit-down dinner and dancing to a deejay.

Gwen Stefani met Gavin Rossdale, guitarist and lead singer for the alternative rock band Bush. They were married on September 14, 2002, with a wedding in St Paul's Church in Covent Garden, London. A second wedding was held in Los Angeles two weeks later. Gwen said it was held so that she could wear her custom-designed wedding dress twice.
Gwen's dress was made especially for her by John Galliano for Dior. The white silk gown, which morphed into a gorgeous shade of pink near the bottom of the skirt, and the single shoulder strap overlaid in tulle gave the dress an edgy look. A figure-hugging white corset over the gown showed off her petite frame. Completing the look was a long, simple antique white veil sitting perfectly over the trademark Stefani upsweep hairstyle, and a simple posy of flowers with trailing white ribbons.
